Paws at Play - November

Our first Paws at Play show of the winter!  It's always a challenge trying to run the dogs and help run the show, but the club members all did their best to make sure that everyone had a good time and the show ran smoothly despite the extreme cold and frost.

Between scriming and helping manage ring 1, and helping the show secretary we managed some lovely runs and was delighted with the following results:

RUBY

I was interested to see how Ruby would perform at the school where we train.  She was looking really happy and it was lovely for some of my friends to comment on how well she is doing.  We ran the Agility twice, using our second chance ticket, but sadly couldn't get a clear round - she is not getting her dog walk contact at all so more training needed here.  Ruby ran in the Novice classes for Combined G3-5:

Jumping - 1st
Steeplechase 1 - 1st
Steeplechase 2 - 1st

PEPPER

I needed to keep my Winter training criteria in mind - startline waits and held contacts - it's difficult as I always get to a show and want to try to win, but I stuck to my gunds and still came away with great results.  Pepper ran in the Novice classes for Combined G6-7:

Agility - 1st
Jumping - 1st
​Steeplechase 2 - 1st

Fantastic results all round - it was quite embarrassing announcing the results and having to keep calling out my own name!
