We were a bit apprehensive as to how the day would work as all of the prospective owners were going to be there at the same time, but there really wasn't anything to worry about!
We were the first to arrive so had the opportunity to introduce Ruby to Julia and Stephen in the hope that they would be able to help us identify a puppy with a suitable personality. We also got to meet Ziggy and Uncle Fester, their stud Miniature Poodles, all of the Working Cocker Spaniel mums and their resident Cockapoos!
A few other people arrived and Stephen brought the puppies out for a play! They were all so adorable! We had two litters to choose from and a mixture of colours ranging from blondes, to chocolate sables, to blue and chocolate roans.
We had decided that we would prefer another girl, but not knowing where we were on the waiting list we knew that we had to be prepared to have a boy if all of the girls were taken. So our task was to come up with our top 3 puppies!
We immediately fell in love with the blue roan girl - she was so pretty and had real character. We played with and cuddled all of the other puppies but kept coming back to the little blue roan! We kept putting her back down to give other people the opportunity to play with her but she kept finding her way back to us! Eventually we felt that we could give our top three so ventured over to Julia to discuss our options.
We said that the blue roan was our absolute first choice - she had noticed that no-one else had really shown any interest in her and that we had consistently said she was our favourite from the minute we saw her, so before we listed our second and third choice, we were delighted to be told that she would be ours!
So, please meet our lovely little Pepper who will be coming home to live with us in two weeks time!
