Firstly, it's HUGE!
Secondly, it's really exciting with lots of shopping opportunities and agility of all shapes, sizes and standards going on.
Finally, when you get to the ring, you are queueing with all of the friendly faces that you normally queue with, plus some new international ones that are equally friendly.
I had high hopes of qualifying for the Novice Final with Pepper, but she knocked the first pole of her first run so that went out of the window very quickly and meant that I could just run her without putting myself under any unnecessary pressure!
We had some good runs and some not so good ones, but overall I was pretty happy with our first outing at KCIF, and to top it off we were able to watch our friends, Jo Loft and Dexter qualify for the Novice Final and can't wait to see them competing at Crufts next year.
We came away with an 8th and a 10th and lots of happy memories.
