Ruby and I have been to a Paws at Play workshop today covering a method of teaching the weaves called 2 x 2. This method was created by Susan Garrett and is renowned for creating a dog that has confident, fast weave entries and is happy to weave independently. You so often see a dog that relies on their handler helping them through every pole!
We started with the basics and have been told how to develop this through to the dog being able to weave! I really enjoyed it and it made complete sense! I hope to buy my own weave poles soon so that I can start training this more frequently!
We also covered contacts - how to get fast, accurate contacts!
